Tongue & Lip Evaluation

We focus on a conservative and collaborative approach when assessing and treating tongue and lip ties. We work alongside a team of specialists (Lactation Consultants, Myofunctional Therapists, Pediatricians) to ensure all other interventions have been made prior to surgical intervention.

If it’s determined by our team of experts that your newborn requires a tongue or lip tie release, also known as a Frenectomy, we use a soft tissue laser to precisely cut the tissue and free the movement of the tongue and lip. This state-of-the-art technique allows optimal healing and minimal bleeding for your child, while avoiding the need for General Anesthesia. We’ll continue to be a resource for you following the procedure to ensure your child’s post-operative success.

As Board-Certified Pediatric Dentists, we specialize in behavior management techniques such as Nitrous Oxide and Oral Conscious Sedation. Additionally, we partner with highly trained Anesthesiologists to provide a safe and convenient option for In-office IV Sedation. For those with Special HealthCare Needs (SHCN) requiring hospitalization for dental treatment, we both remain credentialed and maintain hospital privileges at Children’s Medical Center Dallas.

Accidents and emergencies happen, we are here to help! If your child experiences a toothache, facial swelling, chipped or knocked out tooth, our doctors are equipped to take care of your child. They’ve had extensive training at Children’s Medical Center Dallas Emergency Room in managing all dental emergencies, big or small.

Tooth Anomalies

Tooth anomalies include: Congenitally Missing Teeth, Supernumerary (Extra) Teeth, Enamel Hypoplasia or Hypomineralization, Peg Laterals, and Tooth Fusion or Gemination. Early detection and management of these anomalies can minimize their impact on your child’s oral health and improve esthetics.
